I'm Stephen Maggio, and I'm running to serve as your next Chancery Judge for District 8, Place 4, in Harrison and Hancock Counties.

The Gulf Coast is my home. I was raised here, educated here, and built my career here. My wife, Sandy, and I have spent our entire married lives in these two counties, raising our five children and several of our grandchildren in the community we love. We've worshipped here, worked here, fostered more than fifty children here, and watched generations of neighbors grow up alongside our own family.

For nearly forty years, I've practiced law in Gulfport, representing thousands of clients in Chancery Court and in courts at every level — from our local courthouses to the United States Supreme Court. For thirty of those years, I have also had the privilege of serving on the bench: as a Municipal Judge in Gulfport, Long Beach, and Bay St. Louis; as Family Master for Harrison County Chancery Court; and as Youth Court Referee for Hancock County Youth Court.

In those roles, I've presided over thousands of cases — many of them involving the issues that come before Chancery Court every day. Child custody. Family disputes. The protection of abused and neglected children. Decisions that change lives, and that demand patience, preparation, and the rule of law.

My commitment to you is simple. If you elect me as your Chancellor, I will bring to this court the same standard I have held myself to throughout my career: treat every attorney, every staff member, and every person who walks through the courtroom doors with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Listen carefully. Apply the law fairly. And never lose sight of the fact that behind every case file is a family, a child, or a neighbor whose future depends on getting it right.

Judge Carter Bise has served our community with distinction, and I'm grateful for his years of dedication and friendship. I would be honored to continue that tradition of service.

I'd appreciate your consideration, your vote, and your support. Please look around the site to learn more — and if you see Sandy or me out in the community, please stop and say hello.
